It's all about   the kids!

Who  is FOSMO?

The Friends of Santa Maria Orphanage (FOSMO) is a nonprofit organization founded by expats in the costal area of Olón, Ecuador, to help support the needs of the local orphanage. Our annual dinner and silent auction has for several years funded a Christmas celebration complete with Papa Noel passing out backpacks filled with clothes, school supplies and toys for each child. 

FOSMO’s mission is to raise awareness of the critical needs at the orphanage and facilitate community involvement to meet those needs. Beyond the traditional fundraiser, the board is exploring ways to continually improve life at the orphanage. All funds go directly to help the children. For us, it’s all about the kids.

FOSMO is led by a board of directors comprised of a five-member Executive Committee and seven at-large members. These volunteers are full-time residents. For 2018, these are the Board members:
