Friends of Santa Maria Orphanage (FOSMO) had its genesis in a group of expats and visitors to the area who wanted to help kids living at the orphanage have a nice Christmas. Since becoming a 501 (c)(3) in 2018, FOMSO has participated in Christmas each year, but also funded so many other projects related to education, improved conditions at the home and emergency food during the recent pandemic. Today our board is made up of just 3 volunteers but anyone can be a friend!
